Sweet Dreams...
I believe I opened this blog with a post about Duncan's sleep patterns. Well here we go again. They really do rule our world. We stopped giving Duncan a bottle during the night and for naps hoping to break him of that bad sleep association thing. It seems to be working. The first night was rough. He woke up at 1:30am and it took almost 2 hours of doing the interval check-ins until he fell back asleep -just to do the same thing at 5am. The second night was more of the same, but last night he slept straight until 5am. I really can't remember the last time he did that. He had trouble, of course going back to sleep. But around 6:15am we heard the last peep until 8:30am. I woke up on my own and looked at the clock in shock! (As I'm writing this, Duncan is in his crib desperately protesting his nap.....oh wait.....quiet.....awwww.....hope it lasts).

I had such a productive day today! I did laundry, posted pictures and was puked on 3 times! GO ME!
I Thought these were some neat pictures. Can you ask for a more beautiful setting?
Duncan squeezing into a retro "My First Christmas" sweater that I insisted he wear for the festivities

WOW...finally life is beginning to settle back into place. A different place but at least it's ours. After a few weeks at Jimmy's sisters and then 10 days in Carlsbad at MacDougall's we're happy to be about 90% moved into our tiny little cave of an apartment. At least it's a little brighter cave than the original. Despite the cinder block walls I think we may be happier than ever. Jimmy seems more motivated to do well in school and I am finally realizing how much my terrible job was affecting me. I'm no longer Zombie Mommy, but we'll see how long that last.
NOW...Christmas =) Let's just say...A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! The weather alone was worth the drive. Duncan really enjoyed the beach and I must say he seemed to know exactly what to do on a surf board (a beached surfboard of course). I forgot how much I enjoy surfing -I got to go twice. Jimmy reconnected with his old love=) and once again started the "how are we going to live HERE?" conversation.
I'm pretty sure Duncan would have liked to stay as well even though he did get quite the injury at church. They really should get rid of all those corners!
Well... I'll end our update for now. We have TONS more pictures but just not on our camera. As soon as I get more I'll put them up. Ok... that's a lie. I will eventually somtime this year post again.
