You have got to be kidding me...

So Duncan has not slept past 8am in months and months and months. Because of this, I didn't bother to set an alarm for our 8:40am Dr.'s Appt. that we had to schedule 2 months in advance. Well, wouldn't ya know...Duncan woke up at 9am. I should have been thrilled to get the extra sleep, but instead, I was ticked off!! I called the Dr. and they said they could get me in sometime in JUNE!! Ughh!! SO here we go again...

Some Sad News

I'm sure many of you have heard about the fatal shark attack in San Diego yesterday. I was shocked to learn that the victim was my Uncle Dave. He was "Uncle Dave" for most of my life, however, he and my aunt have been divorced for the past couple years. I just can't stop thinking about my aunt and my cousins and what they must be feeling right now. I pray that they can find some sort of comfort amidst such a tragic event.

YogAHHHHH!!!

Holy cow, I'm sore. One of the sisters at church taught a yoga class yesterday morning. I could only stay for half the class and I still am feeling it... It was intense.

Why am I such a Jerk?!

So Jimmy said I was being jerky today and after a few moments of self reflection...WOW...I AM A JERK!! For some reason I don't believe people when they say they're sick. Jimmy has been saying he doesn't feel well, moping around, coughing, sleeping, coming home from work early and all I can think is, "Yeah RIGHT...You're just being LAZY!" Isn't that awful? I think it may come from experiences in my childhood with "being sick", because we kids were not the sick type. Whenever anyone stayed home from school or church for "being sick" they were automatically labeled... "FAKER"! I mean the assumed sick child could be hurled over the toilet puking their brains out and we siblings would still have a hard time believing they weren't somehow invoking these symptoms voluntarily just to stay home and watch T.V and get mom's undivided attention. I have to work on being a little more sympathetic.

Wow, Duncan, I think you just about got one in the hole there on your face. Well, at least it keeps him occupied for a few minutes.

Spring in Utah.......YUCK!!

So whatever happened to the 4 seasons?? Isn't that supposed to be one of Utah's selling features? It seems like we just go from summer to winter and from winter to summer these days. I happen to love those transition seasons... what are those called again?? Oh yeah...spring and fall. I think snow in the middle of April is like someone tacking on an extra mile just as you're about to finish a marathon...And let me tell ya...this winter has been a marathon. SOOooo...maybe since spring is taking so long to get here, summer can take its sweet time rolling in as well =) (Why can't it just be 75 with a nice ocean breeze all year long? Well I guess it could be, I'd just have to give up a few valuable limbs) .

So many choices...

So I've been looking through blog layouts for like the past hour trying to decide which route we (more like I) should take our (more like my) blog. I tried to keep Jimmy happy by doing the whole plaid Scottish pride thing but I think I'm ready for something that reflect sME a little more appropriately. After all...I AM NOT SCOTTISH. Riley is actually Irish...the shock...the horror. I will stick with MacBlog, because I think it is cute but from this point on there will be no more plaid on this blog. Still love me honey, but until you become an active contributor, I have complete artistic control of this thing! So...I have no idea when the new look will be revealed and now I'm a little worried I built it up a bit too much. So don't expect anything great...and don't read too much into my choice.
