Another Duncan Dandy

Duncan and another little boy were wrestling in the kiddie pool. I heard Duncan yell, "I'm baptizing you!"

You Know Your Son's Best Friend is a Girl When...

he runs to you crying, completely distraught, and when you ask what's wrong he replies, "I can't climb up to the fairyland castle."  Poor guy.

Confessions of a Desperate Mom

1. I spank Duncan.

2. I let Finn sleep on his belly in the morning so I can get a little bit more sleep.

3. I may have cleaned poop off the bathroom floor...not sure how long it had been there.

4. I taught my child how to pick his nose. He wouldn't let ME do it and a I can't stand seeing those boogies in there.

5. I shut my eyes when I brush my teeth. It's a nice break.

6. During my pregnancy I got into the habit of flushing every other time. It just seemed like a waste. (no pun intended)

7. I often forget when I'm watching someone else's child on the playground.

8. I have, on more than one occasion, thrown away tupperware to avoid opening it up and cleaning it out.

9. I sometimes forget to buckle my kids into their car seats and have even forgotten to strap the car seat into the car (twice now).

Thank Goodness for Barf

Yes, I am grateful Dunks got the stomach flu and threw up all night. I would be a lot more grateful if I didn't have to clean it up but that's not the point. The point is, I was forced to stay inside my house most of the day rather than lounge outside in a camping chair avoiding stuff at home. As a result I got lots of big laundry done...you know...sheets and blankets stuff. I also managed to finally put Finn's clothes away (thank you Duncan for emptying all the contents of Finn's dresser onto the floor) . I even got my maternity clothes gathered...not put away but at least not taking up valuable closet space. Anyway... Duncan, I'm sorry you were so sick last night but thank you for sleeping until 11am, followed by hours of Curious George. You're the best =)

Big Brother Stuff

multipurpose breast pump
this look says it all...
Finn...i'm afraid this is just the beginning.
doing his favorite thing, "buggin'" Finn (his words, not mine)

The other day Duncan and I were in the kitchen while Jimmy had Finn in the living room.  We could hear Jimmy being sweet and talking to Finn. All of the sudden Duncan yells to Jimmy, "Daddy, Finn can't talk!"  LOVE HIM!

Today,I was holding Finn on my lap when Duncan came up and started sticking his face in Finn's , as always.  But then he looks at him and says, "Mom, Finn has a weird chin." Ha ha...O-K?. By the way, Finn doesn't have a weird chin, but he does have a cute little cleft.
